Our Solution

Reducing recidivism and creating safer communities for juveniles
Working in partnership with the Kenyan Prison Staff and other partners, Juvenile Care runs programs in: Counseling, education, Health, entrepreneurship and re-entry.

picx_3Counseling: Juvenile Care links juveniles with experts that deals with psycho-social and substance abuse counseling that targets juvenile offenders that suffer from psychological issues or have a history of substance abuse.

Education: Most juveniles lack basic education. We therefore equip them with the necessary skills needed; which in turn improves their employability. We also link prison staff with qualified tutors that teach basic computer literacy skills to those who already have proficiency in reading and writing

Employment programs: Our employment programs consist of entrepreneurship training and business incubation projects. With partners we run an entrepreneurship course that develops self-awareness, assists with career goal-setting, and business plan development skills.

Re-entry programs: before release we link juveniles with family therapy experts that provide sessions that bonds juveniles with their families. Upon release we assist in the re-integration by linking juveniles with after care facilities and youth initiatives that also supports juvenile re-integration.
